Graduating from MIT with a Masters in Architecture, Martino an architecturally trained designer with over 10 years of diverse experience in design across mediums and scales. Proficient in working with print media, website UX/UI, apparel, video, and furniture design, leveraging an eye for identifying key core components to build compelling concepts.  The Avangard Omsk “Hawks” (Омские Крылья / Omsk Wings) are one of the most established professional hockey clubs in Russia, competing in the no for . 

The project entailed the full rebrand and redesign of the official team logo and jersey home & away uniforms. Beyond design exploration, the scope expanded to include production deliverables for on-ice uniforms, fan merchandise, and digital applications.

The Omsk Wings play in the Viktor Blinov Sports and Concert Complex (СКК им. Виктора Блинова) — a landmark of Soviet modernist architecture built in the late 1970s. Recently renovated for the team’s return, the arena is known for its striking facade geometry, a brutalist pattern of diamond-like modules designed to resemble ice and movement. For the rebrand, I drew directly from this architecture: the facade’s modular pattern was abstracted into arrow motifs, integrated into the jersey sleeves and detailing. This created a visual link between the team’s home arena and its identity on the ice.
